Making the Commitment - A new Jesuit High School Portland program
One of the most significant benefits of the Jesuit Commitment program is that it encourages students to explore important Jesuit values which do not fit neatly into existing departments and programs.

Symposium 2009
As preparations gear up for the 2009 Symposium on Ignatian Education a total of 127 people from 41 schools will gather on the campus of USF June 22-26.

Courses in the Jesuit Virtual Learning Academy (JVLA) undergo a rigorous course development process.

China Exchange Trip 2009
This July, the students, led by Ms. Marlene Ren of Loyola Academy and Mr. Bradley Boyle of St. John’s, will spend a week at the two schools in Xiamen attending classes, visiting points of interests along with a home stay with local school families.

President Sets Sights High for Education
President Obama laid out his vision for making education a top priority for his administration in a speech earlier this week. "The future belongs to the nation that best educates its citizens," he told attendees at a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce event. "It is time to give all Americans a complete and competitive education from the cradle up through a career." During his address, the president outlined the five pillars of his education agenda, which make up his plan to "end what has become a race to the bottom in our schools and instead spur a race to the top."
